Out of the Gutter Magazine
Out of the Gutter Magazine #4 is an independent publisher of contemporary pulp fiction. I provided art direction and a campaign which landed them into US and UK book stores.
Designed posters, postcards, and brown bag stickers. Arranged for local distributors to donate malt liquor for readings at bookstores. Extensive email, mailing, and direct sales calls to independent bookstores created national distribution.

Invited Houston Roller Derby Girls to book signings. They provided wheels and in store giveaways to their bouts.
Out of the Gutter Magazine displayed beside established literary journals. The books design makes it stand out on the shelf.
