VillainQuest

Created a contest to promote Theartofevolution.com and taught kids about cartooning

Theartofevolution.com (now-defunct) cartoon portal needed promotion, so I suggested a contest, partnered with Swift3D and Borders for prizes, found judges, and contacted bands for free mp3s. I used my characters Bubblegum and his 500 ton bear Chew-Chew to challenge visitors to Design a Villain. I wrote lesson plans and pursued the channels for distribution to all Austin middle school art classes. Students learned character design, multiple perspective drawing, and backstory. Over 900 entries were received. Judges were the creators of Super-Hero Happy Hour: Dan Taylor and Chris Fason. All participants received a sketch books from Borders Bookstores. Music with permission from Man or Astroman? Cartoon created with Flash and Swift 3D.
